Welcome aboard Karl! At our January meeting we had 8 trucks, all of different color. The 8 owners had to pick the best color, guess what - it was a tie! The more trucks, the more the checking after market options, the better. We do have a good time.

The wife and I will be going to Taste of Country today and check out the parking lot and make sure they still serve Chitlins. Will give an update this afternoon.

This is the first time I have ever had to tell anyone not to go to a great restaurant because their parking lot is not suitable for our Dodges. Taste of Country has started expanding their lot, but right now the new section is just dirt and slightly lower than the surroundings -if it rains it will be good to swim in.

I suggest that someone select a Golden Corral, or equivalent, that is within a 2 hour drive of most of us. I know that Golden Corral has a web site telling all of their locations and gives a map to each. (The only one I am familiar with is in Louisburg which is great for me but too far for most). If all else fails, let's go back to Wilbur's on the 17'th and have some fun.

Stan:

My son is in college up in Raleigh. I
will have him check the areas close to
I-40 if that's O. K.

Hey guys,
Just checking in to see if next weekend is still the plan.

If we are thinking Golden Corral, I know there is one in Smithfield. Pretty sure there is one just off 70 in Kinston. Isn't this pretty much the middle ground for most of us. Do you think we need a group reservation at a place like this or not?
Boy I can't wait I have lots of questions for just about everyone of you so get ready. No, there won't be a test. #ad

Say Pete, I was wondering I have a power mike that I need rewired. Do you do this type of work,or is CB just a hobby?

Chris,
What brings you to the big city?

Later,
Wes

Stan, it sounds like TOC is out until they get the parking lot done. So either Wiburs or a Golden Corral is it? Goldsboro or Smithfields is fine. Somebody make a decision and thats what it will be.
Wes I've been known to do them but I normally leave the technical stuff to the boss, bring it and I'll get it back to you at next months get togther. Pete

OK, let me put a steak in the ground (just kiddin). Saturday 2/17 let's meet at the Golden Corral in Smithfield - prepare to eat at high noon. I'll make the reservations next week once we have the final number of people that will be attending.

The address of the Smithfield Golden Corral is 1319 N Brightleaf Blvd. , which appears to be US-301. Do a search on 'Golden Corral' and click on Smithfield, then enter your zip code under the driving directions and it will give you a map plus written directions from your starting point - pretty darn neat! If anyone has a problem getting this info just send me an e-mail (remember I have never been to this particular Golden Corral). Can't wait!!

1BIG44, Pete, Stan:

Your plans sound GREAT to me. "Golden
Corral" in Smithfield at 12:00 Noon.

-----------
Stan:

Put down three (3) people in my group!

------------
Pete:

I would sure like to "caravan" with you,
Chris and Cecil like we did last time.
I will give you a call buddy!

-----------------
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Wes, I am looking forward to meeting
you!

John

Thanks Pete and Stan. Pete if something happens to go array yes you can still blame me. #ad

I will be helping a guy get his house ready to sell. Monday afternoon I will be departing for the "Big City".
The count is up to 19. 5 so far.
One thing I'd like to talk about is who is going to be the coordinator and where the meeting in Mar will be. I like Wes's idea about meeting in a camp ground with the campers and doing a BBQ.
Well time to get going.
See Ya
Chris

Golden Corral Smithfield 12:00 sounds like perfect place to me. See you all then.
Wes

This thread is getting little long. I'll put up a new post, in case anyone new is interested. Not trying to undercut this one or anything.
