Ram Runners RV trip and Poker Run

Rocky Mountain TDR

It is stock now. I've removed the muffler and silencer ring.

It is a 2000 2500 Quad cab long bed auto Diesel. I have decided to add the guages and the Banks Git Kit. I want just a little more power but don't want the truck to become a money pit.

I tow a 5500lb travel trailer. Went to Colorado last summer. The truck did a great job.

Bobby,

I started off at first just wanting a little more. I have DDII's now. I pull a 9K travel trailer and hual up to one or two K in truck at times. I now have 102 K on my 98. 5 3500 4x4 quad cab. And now I am shoping for a little more. I think I have gotten the bombing bug.

I'm a native tarheel from Rocky Mount but currently reside in the Seattle WA area. I miss the Carolina's and will be back one of these days.

<font color=blue>What is the advertised gain of a Banks Git Kit? And price?

If all you want is a lil more power then go with a set of new Bosch 275 RV injectors. It will be less then $285 and will give you about 50 addtional hp (rear wheel).

Thats the route I would take if all I wanted was a lil more power. But I don't know the meaning of the word "lil more" #ad

Banks does manufacture quality products but if you don't want your truck to become a money pit, stay away from "banks". No pun intended #ad

The Banks Git Kit gives +57 HP and +131 lb-ft.

I like the Banks kit because it monitors EGTs and defuels at 1300F, it defuels to stock power when the TC locks up, it increases boost.

It like that it is an "all-in-one" kit with all the parts designed to work together. I don't have to attack each problem individually.

The kits aren't cheap but I think they are well designed and whether it is true or not they say their kit will not void the warranty. I am not going to add any more modifications after this kit.

I have to keep this truck for a long time so I don't want to add wear and tear to the engine with large HP increases.

Bobby

Whatever works for you go for it, there are other options. If you have a weak TC it is going to go out regardless if you "pull" the power back.

Just hope it works for you.

HI Kent. I'm just north of you in Randleman in Petty country.

I would like to say hello to everyone else in the TDR at this time. I've been visiting the TDR site alot over the last six months. Its a great site with alot of usefull information and tips. Keep up the good work.

I currently own a 96 Dodge 3500 with 150,000 miles on it. The cummings engine has been a joy to own. Monday I will be ordering a new 3500 ETH DEE. I hope it will prove to be as reliable as the 96.

Wayne

Wayne, a new ETH\DEE will do you well. They are a pleasure to drive with plenty of power!!
And a hello to all from the coast!! Pete

For you guys in Norh Carolina, use the Regional and Local Events Forum for anything you want to put together, great place to set up meetings etc.
That keeps this forum just for 24V Engine and Drivetrain.
Thanks guys and have a good one!

Hello bdaniel
A fellow member in my home town, I would have never expected it. #ad
Drop me an email someday soon I would really like to talk with you about the banks kit. When I first started think mod's I was planning on Banks, but have been saving my dollars for gauges and 275's.
Any of you North Carolina boys know when we might get together again?

Wes
