Is it worth spending about $4.00 more

Diesel Fuel 2007

I work with a lady who owns a gasser Liberty. She's friends with some guy who is currently driving a Liberty CRD cross country to evaluate it, etc.

I don't know who he is or who he works for. She saw the Liberty CRD in person and said that it was very quiet. She also mentioned that the guy really liked the overall package that the CRD provided.

I'm going to really start prying on her for info... perhaps even talk to the guy.

Someone else needs to do some prying for info on the Jeep Rescue.

December 5

My dealer told me that orders were being accepted as of December 5. Not many of them available, like 5000 or something.

Oo. :-laf :-laf Oo.

Don't you guys read the TDR when you get it? There was a long write-up on the lineage of the Italian made motor in the Liberty. Made by a subsiderary of Detroit Diesel, also now part of DC. This motor has been in the DC minivans (fwd) in europe for a while.

It's a shame that DC screwed up the Grand Cherokee so much with the new body (IFS? That sucks. ) The engine bay is now too small for an inline 6, (4. 0 gas was replaced by the 3. 7 V-6) or even the great DC turbo 5 diesel from the Sprinter. Could have done that motor with off the shelf parts in the 99-04 body style. I think that was the Diesel for these everywhere but here in the Grand.
