Anyone have other pics of the 06 other than the red and black megacab? Trying to find a pic of an 06 sport "quad" cab if there are any out there. Went to the dealership on Sat and they did say the sport was available for 06, I hope the grill is color matched as it should make the new dakota front end look a little better IMO.

Thanks

I can't seem to post pictures ("POST requests from foreign hosts are not allowed. ") either or in my reader's rig gallery ("Must be a user in the gallery").

PM me and I'll send you a couple of pictures from the auto show. It's a red Laramie, but it shows the front end better.

???

Let's see if this works now:

Nope. Ain't technology great?

I was able to get it in my gallery here:

There's another picture there, too.

Thanks for the pic, I would love to see this as a sport, with the grill color matched, the reason why I ask is because I have not seen a Dakota with a color match grill?

photoshop pics - blk sport 2wd megacab

I made these from pics I took at the atlanta auto show. This is what I'm looking for but trying decided between black & gray. I like the new front end as a sport. It will be even better if the new headlights give us xenon as an option.

Man, that is sweet (except for the gay tires)... I like it a lot in sport trim. I didn't warm up too much to the first mega cab pics, but I really like that black one. I can't believe that it's a 4x4, sure seems kinda low to me or is this some custom set-up by an aftermarket company??

I think the ride height has been sissyfied and the headlights are just plain gawdy. Maybe the head designer at GM stepped over for afew days. :--)

Do note the difference in wheel well between these pics and the previos link in this thread. Maybe they are playing with different setups before we all actually know how they will sit.

Just so we are all on the same page, I made those pictures on my computer from the a 4x4 non-sport that was at the atlanta auto show. I lowered the body to 2wd height, tinted the front windows, made the bumpers & grill body color, changed to towing mirrors in one pic, and added the aftermarket wheels. Too bad those wheels don't seem to be a hit with you guys. I'm pretty sure the Boyd Coddington's are about the only wheel over 18in that you can have built with the correct offset. Anyway, give me a minute and I'll remove those wheels.

Wow, it doesn't look half-bad in Sport trim in black, and I'm a chrome junkie! Personally, I don't see how the new Fed. bumper regs. are satisfied any better than the current 3rd-Gen front end, but that's just stupid 'ole me. Now, if they can only do something about that ugly new dash design that they wrapped around the new-gen nav radio which should be part of the Boston Acoustics sound system (as found in the other '05/'06 DC products) which is FAR superior to the current very expensive, but equally craptastic, nav radio and poor-sounding Infinity system.

Think DC found a way to keep the paint from falling off the thing yet? If I owned that black truck, there'd be no paint left on the front end after a year of driving 30k miles on the NJ Turnpike (at least four months of that with salted roads).
