Any News On a True 'CrewCab' LB????

Salesman who I trust, (no really they exist), said '07. 5 but he said that they are always 6 months longer than the date when they promise a new thing.

I would not expect anything between mega and quad. So an 8' bed on a mega will go about 23 feet. This will be longer than a Ford full crew long box.

I am a big fan of a true 8' bed. But with that truck you'll need a captain's hat and a rudder man. :-laf

i wouldnt see it as feasible unless they ditch the quad cab all together. im not saying it wont happen, im just saying i personaly dont see them taking away from the sales of the Mega. think of it like the Excursion. it was just made to outdo chevy with the burban. now the burban has the title back as biggest and will always have longest running body name/style...



the battle dodge wants to fight from what i see is the biggest cab. im sure someone will answer back to the call.

You're right, I wouldn't want a MegaCab/LongBed, Just a full CrewCab/LongBed.



Looks like we're all waiting til '08. May as well buy an '06 now and trade in two years. :{

I work at WTAP and the story is they did not want to have third frame. The Mega Cab frame is the same as the quad cab 8 foot box frame. I want a mega cab with a 8 foot bed for my 48` pace trailer. Oo.

Those are not wipers... . It is the highly desired, rarly seen windshield protector bug skewers. Bugs are attracted to it by a secret scent (even at 100mph) and they get stabbed by these when going down the road, thereby keeping the windshield clean! You just then take the bugs off like one would take meat off kabobs. It's true! I heard it from an AutoZone clerk. They are going to start stocking them next week!

My understanding of a 'crew cab' (back when it was offered) is a full sized 4 door truck without the extra space behind the rear seats. In those, one would sit more upright similar to how one would sit in the front seat of a regular cab.



My take on cab roominess in order would be (if all were offered):

1. regular cab

2. quad cab

3. crew cab

4. mega cab



The above order is irrispective of bed sizes though. That's a whole different kettle of fish.
