Any night-shifters out there?

Anybody have Carfax?

Hall of Famer...

I am a traveling Radiologic Technologist. This contract is in a small rural hospital, night shift. Some night shift contracts I have worked require you do do filing, cleaning, busywork stuff when not actually doing x-rays or CTs. This one does not. If the ER is not busy, neither am I. I do look for stuff to do to try to help out and stay busy, but in a place this small, that only takes a few hours usually.

I used to be a night shift guy (2300-0700), surfing was limited to Job related items-NO E-Bay or skinternet, but that was before I joined the TDR so I don't know how the IT Nazi would react to this site.

I work some funky hours at work. 5 to 5. 4 days on, then 4 off. 2 weeks days(05:00 to 17:00), then 2 weeks nights (17:00 to 05:00). On the night shift & weekends when no one is around, I get to play on the internet. But, after a while, it gets boring. The IT nazis are looking for BIG fish to fry, not me.

No Gov worker here just a coal miner. I work only 12 hour shifts 8am-8pm or visa versa. I am a diesel tech and keep the 300 ton capacity trucks running 24/7 to help keep most peoples lights on.

21 years here. Mostly nights. Only shift where my boss doesn't bother me. In fact, I never see him. Oo.

IT nazis aren't around either. Or if they are, they are sleeping. Usually, they are too busy keeping the 1980's era servers from crashing to worry about little old me and the TDR site. :)
