TDR Meet Rain Date?

I've talked with one of our tracks in Canada, and they said that if we get 15 diesels (any brand) that they would put together a class just for us. It will be a night race, and the winner will get a big trophy. There will also be cars there so that we have something to watch as well. It will start at approx 1pm and run until late at night. They are an easy going track that will allow us to keep our fifthwheel trailers in the pits. They have excellent dirt biking, or quad trails, as well as great fishing.

It will be on July 7th and 8th, 2001.

There will be award for the quick diesel of show, and winner and runner-up of drag race.

They told me that I need to confirm that we have enough by the end of the week. Sorry for the sort notice.

I heard that we might get a few d-max's at the show, and some powerstrokes as well.

OK I will be first in line

My Son and I plan on attending the NW Drags

Is there any special requirements if we bring his dirt bike (eh, Canadian laws)

I will leave my rod and reel at home ;)

Come On NW BOMBers its time to party Canadian style

Bob,

Even if we don't get enough guys we are still going and anyone is invited, we just won''t get our own class.

Then we will just have to show those what us cummins guys can do:D :D :D .

One of the locals at the track has a 1st generation dodge that runs 15. 50, I talked with him and he can't wait.

Date Conflicks

Stefan,

As of this writing those dates conflict with obligations from HEADQUARTERS. If I can convince her otherwise, I'd sure like to come even though I wouldn't race. Need to save that transmission for the upgrade you just presented me with yesterday. ;)

Dave

Stefan,

I'll be there fr sure... If I had a decent clutch, I'd go ahead and put my truck in there... I'll see if I can get a few of us Northwesterners up there... Drags both nights?

Guys,

I need to know what track you guy want to attend.

We can go to either Mission Raceway Park which is approx. 10 minutes from our shop (Abbotsford). They are having a truck race with semi trucks and pick-ups only. It's day racing both days (july 7,8th).

Or we can go to Ashcroft which is approx 2. 5 hours from our shop it's much more laid back but a little further drive. They are having the night race. They have all the dirt bike/quad trails, plus you get to see the fraser canyon.

If we choose Ashcroft we can all drive up together, it starts in the afternoon so we can either leave friday night or Saturday morning.

If we choose Mission we can leave Saturday morning.

Piers,

You got a couple weeks to change that horsepower situation. 2 weeks=what 500+hp:D :D :D

You guys choose where to race, makes no difference to me.

Woodburn Dragstrip in Woodburn,Or has truck drags every year. Im sure its in July or August. They run everything from pickups to big rigs. Im sure they would put everyone in a separate class. Will check on the date.

Did I hear someone say dirt bikes?

Hmmmmmm this is sounding like mucho fun.

I have the woodburn schedule at home... I will check the date for the truck races.

Diesel Freak,I was at the premier Truck Drag event there umpteen years ago. They ran out of beer. Truckers do like to drink. :D :D Anyways, its turned into quite an event. Especially since they said they would never make the mistake of running out of beer again. ;)

Woodburn

the Woodburn Thunder Truck Drags are on August 4th

Time trials are 10:00 to 2:00

Eliminations are at 2:00

Gates open at 9:00

Race fee is $30

admittion is $10

Ashcroft sounds good to me, it will be nice to go for a little drive in the truck. :D

Stefan, maybe we can all meet at DTT and then convoy to Ashcroft? Just a thought! :D

Looking forward to it!!!

This Woodburn this sounds WAY cool! Count me in!

Diesel Freak,

We are going to Ashcroft and I have talked to about 10 guys that will be there. It should be alot of fun. If anybody wants we can meet at our shop and go to the track together.

We are going to leave at around 8:30am so that we can be there by 11:30.

The reason that we are going to Ashcroft is because of how laid back they are, and that it's going to be 2 days of racing. Besides if it was at Mission I wouldn't be able to run in the 13's because they are to strick in tech.

Bob, Evan

Are you still coming? Anyone else? It should be alot of fun. Remember ashcroft is a party track.

Party track:) I think I'm gonna be busy this weekend installing a new South Bend clutch [ torture test time Peter:D ] one of my high output injection pumps, turbo of course & maybe I'll squeeze in a set of "censored" injectors..... gotta give you automatic boys a run for the money. We'll be up for the whole weekend with lots of tools and stuff for anybody who wants some super tuning done. Sounds like this is gonna be a fun weekend :D
