TDR Meet Rain Date?

will there be

any in attendance from Northern California

and what is meant by a party track  will there be canadian streakers :(

Wow this should be a must attend event :)

I look forward to seeing everyone again.

 Piers Smoke Show:eek:

Let me get this straight Piers , you are actually going to drive in a straight line and not in circles?

Ashcroft is located about 2 1/2 hours away from our shop.

The nice thing about it is the track is extremely laid back and guess what , the track starter is one of us, a dodge ram owner , his truck runs 15 :50 in the quarter mile.

Oh yes !! Did i mention he is a first generation dodge and a Diesel mechanic on the big rigs.

Campers and trailers are welcome at the track, or there are hotels available in town.

I also plan on bringing up our scanner to scan some of the pcms, i really like the way Eric and the boys at the GLDTDR did Muncie as it is similar to how we wanted to run our event.

We are going to do ours without the mosquitoes though, and we plan to make this a full blown event in Ashcroft next year, our idea is that it is fun to meet, bs even if you are not racing , and just mingle, dirt bikes , quads ect all welcome , guys just make sure you have your paperwork for the border in case you need it.

Some Americans have already proven they cannot handle Canadian beer, its a bit too much for you boys, so you may want to bring some of the watered down version of your beer(lol)

PS, i plan on winning this event with my Ford, hear that Piers, you are going to get beat by a ford.

Look forward to seeing you guys again.

Ya mean it's not an oval track we're on??? I thought it was bad enough I had to go in a oval not a circle, but now you tell me I gotta go in a straight line. Yer killing me here Bill, no circles, not even an oval & now you tell me you're gonna beat me in a Ford:rolleyes: Hows about if you go straight with a Ford [no pun intended] & I run circles around you with my Dodge:D

This post should really screw you up *LOL*

somewhere?

Bob

We are going to leave at around 8:30am so that we can be there by 11:30.

Bob, Evan

Are you still coming? Anyone else? It should be alot of fun. Remember ashcroft is a party track.

Bob, maybe we can meet for breakfast or something along the way... How about Weller's, since we know where it is. Since we want to be at the border by 8, we should be done with breakfast by about 6:30, 6:45 at the latest. We could meet at Weller's at say, 6? I know it makes for an early morning, but it'll be nice to hit the road with a full belly. Let me know. :D

Okay, now I think you temped me enough! Watered down beer!? I party in Canada at least once a month,eh! I go up just to buy lotsa brew to bring back home. I can handle my beer as well as my 6spd!:D

-Mike

PS. oddly enough,I'm polishing off another Molson right now... yes I realize it's 3:30am!

Man I wish I could be there-but I'll be on call Friday night :( -even if I wasn't it's a hell of a long drive from east-central Alberta. If you guys are gonna make it an annual event maybe next year I can swap some days around and make the trek. I'm not really into the racing thing-afraid of disintegrating my 6 speed with my magical shifting abilities :p but I would like to hang out with a few diesel freaks... .

This looks like a good chance to test the recent modifications with the trailer in tow pulling over the Coquihalla from the Okanagan to Merrit. Not a racer but would love to watch you others perform. Do most of you bring your significant others??

Evan, I knew when I typed that "significant other" somebody would be thinking of their truck!!

If this weather stays the same it's going to be one hot weekend. That part of the country can be a scorcher, so all the more reason to have the cooler sufficiently stocked:cool:

I just got off the phone with the race track, and they said that we are going to have our own class, so no racing the cars. :D :D

On Saturday we are going to be meeting at our shop at 8:30 am and leaving at 9:00am. So anyone is welcome to drive up with us. and If you wanted to head up at a different time and you don't know how to get there give me a call at (604)-504-4002 for details.

On saturday the gates will open at 12:00 and racing will start at 4:00pm. Eliminations will start at 8:00pm and will probably finish at approx. 1:00am.

On Sunday it's a fun day where you can make as many runs as you want with passangers or empty. You can also have "grudge matches" if you choose and can race the cars if you would like.

When we get there we need to tell the gate ladies that we are an "Aurora" truck, so that they know that you are with the Diesels in our own class. We get a cheaper entry fee as well to race, it goes from $100 to $50.

There is going to be awards for the following:

Fastest Truck

Best Reaction time

Closest to Dial in

1st place in race

2nd place in race

We tried to make awards that everyone would have a chance at winning.

I told them that we would have at least 10 trucks so that we could have our own class.

It's going to be hot so bring enough stock. :D :D

Again if you have any questions please call me at (604)-504-4002

Well the Detroit locker's in, turbo's on, South Bend clutch is installed, ladder bars are on, censored injectors are in, new P7100 pump's installed, water injection hooked up... . was a few late nights but I think I might even be ready for tomorrow, until I just heard how Bill K. plans on beating me in his Ford:rolleyes: He said it's not who crosses the finish line first who'll win... . it's whoever has the most consistant times uh oh... maybe I should just put it back to stock & then there won't be so much chance of an inexperienced driver like me breaking out of my time slot hmmm decisions decisions... maybe I can cross over into his lane and give him a little push to make him break out of his time slot:D

Piers,

I think you might be in trouble, he's been working on a stealth set of spark plugs. :D :D

He told me that Piers won't know what hit him. :D :D

There was also a rumor of a 500 cubic inch chevy powered ford. He said that the camaro wouldn,'t miss it for a while. :D
