I replaced every sensor and the only thing I found thats makes a differences is addind cetane and red line diesel fuel catalyst.
 
:{ latest update. I replaced the map sensor, the IAT sensor & installed

EDM's; result----the mis-fire now occurs at 24 lbs of boost. :-{} Another thing I noticed is that the mis-fire is there even when boost is dropping thru the 24 lb mark. I did not notice that previously. :confused:

Well Cummins has my truck for the week, to diagnose the miss. I changed the crank sensor - no change, other than it is getting worse. They are going to put it on the dyno, and also check the injection pump pressure, as well as electronics. We will see what they come up with. Several people I have talked with about the issue are leaning toward a weak injection pump.

Dont feel bad guys, i have the same problem, i have a 12 VALVE :(



I can only duplicate the problem when getting after it, right after lock-up, around 16 to 18 lbs of boost. It doesn't do it all the time, just most of the time. I still have factory trans. I'm getting an aftermarket within 2 weeks. I'm getting 370's. I'm getting what i think is called injector knock. I do not notice it when idling. I notice it more when cruising under very light throttle.



Is it just me or does it only seem to come when you're in that certain spot of the go pedal?



Have any of you adjusted your valves lately ??

Fuel filters ??



I know i have nothing to do with your over-valved problems, just thought i might share something that could shed light somewhere.

Another thought

Maybe we're all feeling the inherit harmonics of the cummins.

I can duplicate my problem at one spot each and every time. Can you guys ?

what if you get after it harder ? Maybe not so hard ? Still there ??
