You could run an empty canister to 25K miles with a bypass filter.

Suffice it to say, the fact that you go 25K on a Stratapore means very little.

I only said that because some expressed hesitation of even running the filters that are rated at 25k that full term so I tossed in my experiance. But yes I know it doesn't really count since I'm running a bypass. If I were not running a bypass I would never go that long on the Fleetguard but I probably wouldn't be afraid to try it with one that's rated for it.

You can get a Donaldson Endurance oil filter at a Freightliner or Kenworth dealer. I bought one several years ago. They had them in stock. I think it was about $12.

I ask because I've bought filters at the Cummins shop before, and the right "size" filter had the wrong threads-- had to take it back.

There are some 5. 9L Cummins engines in Motorhomes, that take different oil filters than the 5. 9L in our Dodges! The proper Donaldson for the 5. 9L in our Dodge trucks is the ELF-7349.
