wha??? Ok, so that causes a swirling action that helps fuel milage, right?

And the TAG reduces swirling action to help fuel milage, right?

 :-{}

Looks like one of those things made to sell, not use. Fluids (air) flow better in laminar (straight line) flow. The only time that turbulence helps is with mixing two streams together. Turbulence used to help on carborated engines to mix the fuel with the air before it entered the combustion chamber but with direct injection I'm not sure that helps.

Keep grinnin,

The instructions say it mounts right after the air cleaner, a little swirl, especially if it's in the wrong direction might reduce the efficiency of the turbo and after the turbo, any swirl it created would be non existant. I hate to think what it might do if it went through the turbo. I removed one of the spinner/mixers from the top of a piston on a gasser several years ago(not mine). :) bg

Popular Mechanics did an article a couple months back about these mileage increase devices.

They dynoed the test vehicle before and after with each mileage add-on and all caused LOWER hp on the dynojet they used.

ANything that makes your engine work harder to get air will rob HP. A pressure srop is a pressure drop. No different than a dirty air filter.

They are BS. It's snake oil for your car.

What a joke... dont buy into it. I was dumb enough to try a tornado once  its just another gizmo to steal your money... ... .

Hehe, I saw a article a few years ago in "FOURWHEELER", they said a tornado, was a ripoff. :-laf :-laf :-laf

I showed this to my brother and said that my turbo will probably suck that thing right in! I wonder how could their warrenty department is?

Won't work at all. The spinning or vortex created by it, will be un-done by the plastic guide vanes at the lower elbow.

I removed my vanes so does this mean it will work on my truck???? :-laf

Tornado Dyno Tests

I was present when the local newspaper had the Tornado dyno tested (Mustang) at a speed shop, here in Phoenix.

Each & every time, the vehicle lost power with the Tornado installed. It's a gimmick that doesn't work!!!

The item we are discussing now looks very restrictive.
