Hardwood floor questions

Just starting a new batch today. only my second batch. Was wondering if I should Keg this batch or bottle it. It is a wheat beer. I have read that putting home brews especially a darker beer tastes better in a keg than bottling it. I bottled my first batch which was a dark beer and it turned out alright. I have an extra fridge that I want to turn into my keg dispenser. Anybody know a reasonable place to buy a homebrew batch sizes keg?

The old style soda dispenser tanks (used at fairs, and other large events) are 5 gallons. They are very commonly used for this, and the connectors for the co2 tank will be readily avail at the homebrew store. Call a beverage distributor, as they have been switching over to something else, I hear.

Then you can carbonate with co2 instead of extra yeast. Just put the gauge at 30psi and roll back and forth with your foot for a while. .

kegs for 5 gallon batches....

Check out www.northernbrewer.com I just found the website a few days ago and have been reading with alot of interest. There kegging equipment isn't cheap, but you get to enjoy your beer much faster than bottling. I just found this thread doing a search tonight, and hope to head to the store (they are in St. Paul) and see what I can find. I want to get started myself in a month or so, after my night classes are over. Keep us posted on how you are doing. Good luck,

Matt
