Hey rotohead, is that a 4" exhaust that the 5" tip goes over. How does it go on? Weld? Also, is it chrome or stainless? sorry for so many questions. Thanks in advance.

Craig,
That is a JRE 4" exhaust system w/Walker muffler. Installed it myself so it's simple to do. Had a local muffler shop weld hangers and the tip on. The tip is chrome and fits very tight over the 4" pipe. Easy between the tip and the sections of the exhaust pipes to arrange the angle you desire. Hope this helps.

A tip on Geno`s 5" exhaust tip.

The guys that live where salt is applied to the roads during the winter might be better off using a couple of screws to hold the tip on the tailpipe. So it is easy to remove. All is it took is 1 winter and I was getting rust spots on the tip. It is pitted but still looks ok. Its a high quality piece, but it will definately need to be changed in a couple of years. A rusty tip really looks like crap.

This is another picture of the tip. Ted Jannetty`s truck: #ad

I had to "polish" up my Jardine pipe to slide my 5" Monster Tip on. Even then, I used a block of wood and a rubber mallet to get it on. No way it's going to come off.

Salt? Good grief, PennDot uses so much, the road is white after a storm.

I too have the 5" monster tip, however, have a ATS 4" exhast. . The last 3' of the ATS pipe is chrome and is usually turned down for the turned downed look. . I simply un-clampled (lossened) the 3' section turned the pipe facin rear instead of down and used the same hi-tech 2x4 / w rubber mallet and slamed the 5' monster tip over. . No one else that I've seen has done this as the pipe faces back just about equal to the rear bumper and slighly at a angle. . With 4' of chrome showing and curving under the truck. . get a lot of stares and thumbs up. . What"s really cool you get to blow black smoke straight back at cars/trucks/cops etc. #ad

I used a Dremel tool on the inside of the tip to bring down the high spots to where its a loose fit. I used a sheetmetal screw to secure it. I don`t want to fight with it when its time to be replaced. Fighting with old exhaust pipe is no fun.
