Any plumbers out there?

See...all truck owners are the same.

Humor for the FF's amongst us.

The kitchen sink clogged. P-trap is clear. Ran a 15 ft. auger through the cleanout, nothing. Ran a 40 ft auger tape through the cleanout, nothing.

What are the possibilities that it's clogged past 40 ft? (Pretty good actually, d'oh! Sometimes I amaze myself!) Also, none of the other sinks or the toilets run slow. Any ideas?

I'm not a plumber, but have you checked the roof vent? Since you have a snake, run it down the vent once to make sure it's not clogged. Good luck.

Check before the P trap. 40 feet is a long way to have the drain run it must tie into the main line way before 40 feet. Garbage disposals will at times clog before the traps as well try checking from the P trap Up. if you dont get results I will try to help you further. I am not a plumber per say But I do alot of remodeling and have seen my share of stopped up drains.

Pat Pm me if you would rather if the above does not work.

PLUG?? Don't call roto rooter..

Being a maintenance man at school, I see all kinds of "plugs". The best invention since sliced bread for plugs is right at your local Lowes or Home Depot. I can't give you an exact name of this utensil, but I'll do my best to describe it. It is made of rubber and screws on the end of a garden hose. It is about 6-8 inches long. You insert this into the pipe where your "p" trap exits. Turn on the garden hose and it blows up on the outside diameter to form a seal and then the water pressure blows out the clog. Works everytime for me, if the vent line is the one that is plugged, you won't have much luck with this unit. Costs about 8 to 10 bucks,,,way cheaper than the local plumber. Like I said,,works for me.
