Just got the Prodigy I ordered and was wondering if their is anything I should be careful with or any pointers on the install

Thanks

Only tip I would give is if you didn't order the wiring harness that plugs directly into the Dodge factory plug, spend the $8 and do it. Then it just snaps in rather than having to splice wires in. Install was about a 10 min. job.

Really easy. A lot of people including me are installing the unit on the removable panel to the right of the steering wheel. Great location.

With the wiring harness it's a breeze. There is a nicely labeled blue jack ready for the controller but mine was hidden way back behind a black box with other cables and such in it. I had to unmount it to even see the jack. I've got big clumsy paws so that slowed me down a little.

Thanks... ... ... ... ... I saw where they had it mounted and had to kinda move things around but I put mine to the left on the panel... ... . seems like I can see it pretty good. I just need to get it adjusted and I'll be set

Thanks JIM

I just got a new Prodigy, but I think mine might be defective. It shows n. c. (not connected) even with the trailer hooked up. I know I got the wiring right because it works with the old controller. It also doesn't show the indicator that is supposed to tell you when the controller is set too high or low of an angle. It am thinking of sending it back for a new one. Do any of you guys think that I got a defective controller?

Be sure to pick a spot where you can grab the panic slider quickly in the event a trailer gets to waggin on ya. Maybe left haded drivers would fare better with it on the left. Mines in the ash tray hole.

Cheers,

Steve J.
