It appears as though my leather seat (drivers side) may have a tear of some kind smack in the middle of the seat (bottom cushion) and a spot that looks like it is wearing thin on the side of the seat. The truck only has 16K miles and I use Lexol about every 6-8 weeks! The leather feels great (soft) and the truck isn't a work truck - so I'm not dirty getting in. What the hey?! Anyone experience this??

Can a seat be replaced under warranty for this or is this like tires and windshield wipers?

mine is wearing on the left side of drivers seat were you kind of slide out a bit. only 13k. it will probably get a hole in it at 36. 1k.

No problems here!!

Mine has 19,000 k and the seat is fine though I want to get some steps of sorts for this exact reason. Just for precautionary reasons...

seats

my oem leathers in this truck are much tougher and appear will be more durable than the aftermarket leather i had in my last truck. i would definitely give the dealer the opportunity to tell me it wasn't under warranty. in fact, i think i would approach it as though i had every expectation for them to replace it!!

I agree with redneckdr! The leather should not wear like a tire will. I have 26,000-miles, and do not have a single blemish. I too use Lexol on my car but have yet to use it on the truck yet.

Have a guy on my deer lease that the same happened to his - replaced ALL leather seating in his truck so that it all matched . . . under warranty! I couldn't believe it!

Definitely a warranty issue! I had a Ford with the same problems , dealer replaced the leather on both driver and passenger seats. You spent alot of money on your truck, don't let them try to just patch it! So far the leather in my Dodge has been fine with 80k. Good Luck.

I have had no problems with mine. My truck has 15K on it and its a year old next month. I have been using eagle leather treatment every other month. You must have gotten a thin cow leather. I would ask DC to replace.

softclassic

I had mine replaced before I picked up the truck off the dealers lot. They are made by Soft Classic Leather. Two tone, dark grey (almost black) and light grey(almost white) with a ram design in the head rest. Very nice seats. I now have 112,000 on them and they have worn and now I need to replace the four patches that my big a$$ sits on. I heard from the dealer that the factory seats are not a very good quaility. If I had more computer know how I could post some picks. I could not find a website either. I will get the info that I have and post it tommorow. I also had the leather put on the door arm rest. I had these designed for me.

Thanks for the replies- I was thinking this was kinda odd since the leather seems almost nicer than my wife's Volvo (softer anyway)

Thanks TXRam - you've given me some hope!

LMautone - why 36. 1 K miles???
