I have one it’s been working pretty good for a long time now Maybe needs a new belt soon. The cog wheels do wear out also. The dirt seals that Glacier Fuels sells really help it live longer I’m happy with mine. Anybody having issues with their r asp. Also what’s that brass in line fuel thing called. The one with the washers for pressure adjustment. Mine runs 17-18 at idle goes up to 19 almost 20 on a hard pull.

I remember them being called jet cans they have primary and secondary types. You are correct that shims are used inside. The more and thicker the shims the higher the pressure. Kinsler who makes them are good to work with. I had to rebuild mine several times. The orings on one end would wear out. They have different types at different prices of course the better, the more precise, the more expensive. They would sell me whatever parts I needed separately and were always very helpful

What a story on Jim Kinsler just a note its out of order a bit so it anyone else reads it 1966 is flipped with the balance of 1964, I got lost a bit and even went back to read parts, never thought to look forwards.

Not a bad lesson there of sorts, when you get too far ahead looking back is not always the answer.

Yes jet cans thank you. I have two now and carry a spare with proper shims for 17-18 psi when my rasp was installed by a automotive shop they put the jet can way down on the bottom of the filter. Very hard access I had some issues with minor waxing of the diesel fuel. Wax would come off very small piece and get in the seat in the jet can. Fuel pressure would go 8-9-10 lbs and the carter would kick in. My friend and I was on a 2 k road trip in the Yukon in 2019 and I lost fuel pressure . As luck would have it I checked on my phone for a place that could make me a hose. Whitehorse is a huge hub for mining hoses fittings etc. so we go there. Two brothers and their wives run the place nice folks They made a hose and now you can take the jet can off from the side of the truck not standing on your head reaching down by a hot Cummins engine. Then rather than wash it out I got a spare from Glacier fuel and to crescents and a rag and
It’s done in a couple minutes. Waxing also has been resolved

my jet cans were not on the bottom of the filter. I could barely reach them if I stuck one arm behind the hydroboost unit and the other in front of it I could reach them with my wrenches. A bit awkward but totally doable in a couple minutes

As far as the truck I have ordered I ordered it in August. I went in to the dealer and filled out the paperwork on Aug 16th. They told me it would be a week or ten days before I got a VIN. Then I got notified on 9/9 that they got a VIN and it was scheduled for delivery on 9/20 (I think that was in D1 status) . I thought whoa that is way shorter time than they had told me originally (16-18 weeks) So I emailed them on 9/21 to see if it in fact did ship and much to my surprise they responded with it has been moved to storage for shipment. She tells me that is what normally happens, once built it moves to storage to await a rail car. Should take 2 to 3 weeks so they tell me. Which if it does work out that way 8 weeks from order to delivery (not holding my breath on that but that would be great).

On 9/21 I was not able to look up the vin and get the build sheet as it came back as not on file or the like but on 9/22 I checked it again was able to pull up the vin and the build sheet so I feel fairly confident that it has been built (hopefully completely and it didn't get moved to storage waiting on chips or something). I will contact them next week or the week after to see if the status has changed from storage to whatever KZ code (there are like 15 of them) it may be for shipping .

while I dont doubt she is telling me what she knows though I am unsure of her total knowledge about the trucks as even after I got the vin it is a mexican truck for sure and asked her how long shipping might take from Mexico and she told me it was being built in Michigan so....

5 months seems like a long time but they probably didnt start producing the 2022s until August, hopefully it is coming in soon. Any word from your dealer on the current status code? They should be able to tell you that.

I don’t even have a firm price. They don’t or didn’t know. I think the virus and chip thing has it all whacked out of shape I ordered a 3500 ho aisin regular cab long. box tradesman SRW. I don’t like the center console all the way to the dash on the upper models or the 4x4 shifter on the floor. It will be in the dash. I’m 6 ft 6 in and need the sprawl out room. What did you order ? 25 f here this morning in anchorage. Cold

I ordered 3500 crew cab, long bed, 4x4 in the longhorn trim

not that cold here in town this morning was 42 but supposed to get back up in the 80s this weekend. Some of the colder parts of the state are starting to get freeze warnings
