I am going to install a TC Lock-up Switch. I am considering a three position; TQ Locked, Normal Operation, and TC always unlocked.

I am aware as to why sometimes you would want the TC locked, and also in its normal mode. I do not remember (senior moment) why you would want a Unlocked Torque Converter.

What are your thoughts?

One reason that comes to mind: when the trans is frigid (like below 0°F), keeping it unlocked (using fluid coupling) will heat up the trans quicker. And that heat will help warm up the engine coolant faster.
