Bluebonnets?

I did the SETI@home thing for a while... until it started messing up my reasonably powerful 'puter.

I have been using a grid computing solution that can be found on www.grid.org

Instead of looking for ET, I'm helping to aid cancer research. I have nothing against looking for ET, but their SETI@home application was giving me some grief.

I have had very good luck with the United Devices Agents installed on the two computers I use all the time @ the office.

I run a UD grid research device as well, though I canot run both simultaneously. The SETI program is kind of dated and pretty much posseses your computer while running.

I have been doing the SETI thing for about 2 months, my brother has been doing it for years

I can surf the web with the SETI program running but not play any games, have to turn it off to play games

I guess seti is going to be replacing the older client soon. The new one will track computer time instead of work units. Anyone using the new client yet?

I think that's what my SETI version does. It tells me how many hours of CPU time have been devoted to looking for my relatives ;)

Yeah, it lists:

Username: "abc"

Data Units Completed: "123"

Total Computer Time: "Hours, Minutes, Seconds"
