Any suggestions for good gps system for truck?

I'm thinking about installing a gps in my truck and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or pictures of their setup. I've been looking at the new Garmin Street Pilot III, and the Garmin 276C since it can be used on the water. I already have a Pocket PC that I could get the adapter and software for, but I didn't know how well those worked. I guess I could buy a $4 atlas from Walmart .

A friend of mine has a Garmin GPS V... very very nice unit. Comes with a convenient dashboard mount.

I've used several handheld receivers with laptop GPS software of all types, and while it is the most cost effective solution if you already have a laptop or handheld PC, it's hard to plan for exactly when you'll need it every time. On planned road trips I always brought it along, but sometimes it'd be nice on the normal commute when an accident is blocking the normal route to just be able to take a quick look and see what the most direct surface street would be. I'm really contemplating the Pioneer AVIC-N1 head unit, that way it's with me ALL the time, and as a bonus it doesn't go flying off the armrest when I hit the brakes to make a sudden stop! I only wish it had decent voltage on the line outputs.

I have the Street pilot 3 and love it because it is portable. Where ever I travel I take it. I even took it on a cruise and it worked great. It has a been bag mount that works very well or a more permanent mount mount that can be glueed anyplace. Works on Batteries or 12 volts. needed the batteries on the cruise. You can also connect a pemanent speeker and or antena to it. Very easy to program addresses. Is easier to use than the permanent unit in my Infinity G35.
