Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Any TDR's around Pompano Beach, can look at truck?

I found a 99 at a wholesaler in Pompano Beach with a real good price but I'm in Birmingham and am afraid to jump flight down and find out truck is junk, anyone live nearby that could take a look at the truck for me?
