Any way to delete TPMS from new trucks?

I set my tire pressures at 50# on all four corners and have a piece of black electrical tape over the idiot light. Still get the ding at startup and the system telling me ti inflate rear tires to 80#. Why 80# with an empty bed is beyond me. So far no other problems with all set at 50#.

50 psi sure seems low for the front that is carrying around that heavy engine all the time. Any truck I have ever had, I have always ran more pressure up front than in the rear (when unloaded). Even more so now that I have a Diesel.
