not long after i got my 96 3500 drw i was under it checking stuff out and grabbed the drive shaft to move on the creeper and it moved, long story shortened slightly i finally got around to getting a new joint and before installing it i whipped the callipers on it and discovered it was the same size cup to cup (4. 190" or so) as the spicer brand unit that was on the truck, the yoke was cleanly machined and not worn and the joint fit fine in the drive shaft, measuring the yoke showed it to be a touch more then 20 thousandths wider then the joint, calling the o-really parts store confirmed that they only list one joint for early 90s to 2k, my solution is i dug through my ac parts stash and found a pair 10k compressor clutch shims and put one under each cup and now it fits like a glove, drive home proved it did some good as a slight buzz at 70 mph was gone, i am sure my pinion bearings will be happyier with the drive shaft centered now too
