When my boost gets up to 20 or so, the gauge makes a really annoying rattling noise. It's definitely coming from the gauge as I've driven with it out of the pod and the noise is coming from inside the gauge. It's really kind of annoying. Anybody else, or do I have a faulty gauge?

I had the same trouble. Isspro replaced once, then they said no more. Their excuse was that my truck was making too much boost! Funny, my truck is stock, but yet it wore out a 60 psi boost gauge! I finally said the heck with them and I went to the DiProcol Optix gauges which are smooth and very quiet. I will not use Isspro again. Call the guys at Diesel Performance Parts (www.dieselperformanceparts.com). No I don't work for them. They have just been great to work with and I am a satisfied customer. Good luck, I would try to see if Isspro will warrant the gauge, but my warranted gauge started rattling within a month or so.

I agree, it is very annoying for the rattles. Good luck with your "battle. "

Regards.

Thanks RankRam: where does this go in the plumbing? Proximal or distal to the guage? OR does it matter?

I'm not sure it matters, but with some thought I think it is best to put it as close to the gauge as possible, I'm thinking the reaction time is faster this way??

Always glad to help!

So the Isspro gauges still rattle? You would think in the past ten years they would have fixed this problem. That snubber sounds like a good idea. I have heard of guys putting some kind of restriction in the line, the snubber sounds like a better idea. But if the boost pushed your home made restrictor into the gauge, that would give you an excuse to replace those gauges with a quality set.

Mine just started. I actually thought it was my fuel pressure gauge. I'll have to check it out. Jeff

Mine did it from day 1.

I had ISSPRO's in my 02 with a 30 psi guage (it only could make about 20 tops) and it never rattled. The 05' ram makes 30 max when pulling or stomping it and rattles like crazy at the high end. So only at high end of the guage. :(

Iv had 0-60 Isspro for about two years and havent noticed any rattleing from the gauge at all.

Maybe Im one of the lucky ones.

I know mines does but only when I am really getting on it. I didnt know if it would be a warranty thing or not. I know the gauges I had in my 03 did not rattle but this one does.

after talking to the guys at Dieselmanor (awesome guys to do business with by the way), the showed me a potential fix.

If you pull the gauge and unscrew the brass fitting that you attached the boost line with, you'll see a little jet inside the back of the gauge. If you take a small screwdriver and tighten that jet, that will usually get rid of the rattle according to Dieselmanor. I just did mine and it was kind of loose. Tomorrow I'll see if it's quiet.

Checked my gauges over the weekend. Its my fuel pressure that is rattling. I have a needle valve in line to shut it down. No more rattle. I'll have to get a price on a new gauge. Jeff

What's a needle valve? Got a link?

Isspro sent me a new gauge and the new one does the same thing as the old one. It's not that big a deal, but it's sort of annoying at times.

Mine was reading about 4psi when the truck was off. I sent an e-mail to dieselmanor and received a replacement from UPS yesterday. No rattle.
