Anybody got a windsheild????

Went to get inspected friday, and of all things this is what they failed it for. :-{} I thought that as long as it wasn't in your line of sight, it was alright, in MO anyway. I do realize however, that this is pushin' it. Sooooo, does anyone close to me have a windshield that they would like to sell/trade??? Or does anyone have anyone to recommend??? Suggestions???

Around here just about everyone has glass insurance coverage... I would never consider a used windshield ... it's too easy to just get it replaced under that coverage.

Just gonna have to sell that old gooseneck to me for $2k :-laf , then you'll have money for a new one, installed too!!! I'd find a glass/windshield shop nearby. Have them do it.

Yeah, CHris, you're gonna have to get that one replaced- mine barely squeaked by, and wasnt near that bad. ANd, I know the shop owner who passed it. The windshield can be sand pitted to Hades, but if it has a crack, you gotta get it replaced

Yea, I guess that I'll have to make some phone calls tomorrow. I guess that after I get a new one I'll have to park it for two weeks in the garage, or at least until Mr. Murphy has time to leave. :-{} Now my other truck is gonna be jealous if this one gets a brand new windsheild



My other truck has passed repeadtly with a crack on the drivers side, it just goes across the bottom corner and ain't that bad.

Around here the windshield will pass if the cracks don't go above the bottom 4" of the windshield.

They figure it would only interfere with your view of your hood I suppose.

I would not mess with a used glass, as they will be much more prone to cracking when installed. I need to get the one in my 93 replaced, I have a buddy that has a body shop, shot me a good price, I just have to make the wife drive the truck a few more times and I'll get a new window . She has to look through the crack when she drives it. :-laf Drop me a line if you want me to check for ya. It be a good road trip, but maybe he'd give you a group discount for one for each of your trucks. :-laf You'll have to come up and have a milkshake. Oo.



Is Mr. Murphy visiting your place now? Did Jeremy put him in the glovebox of that truck when you went to get it?

Yea, yea, yea, Murphy showed up today. I got my trailer lights and brake controller hooked up, so I decided to try and get some satisfaction from a job (well) done. Hooked up to my new trailer, turned the left blinker on and every marker on the trailer flashed. :--) So much for that, back to the thing I love the most, sodering and electrical grounds #@$%!



He did leave me some shotgun shells in the glove box, ya know, just in case we ran into trouble on the way home. :-laf

I just had mine replaced 10 days ago... . guy came to the house

$200. 00... . not a bad deal... .
