Truck threw a P2609 this morning. Grid heater seemed to be working fine as I could see the voltage drop on the dash. AND OFCOURSE I HAVE 36,954 MILES. Man that makes me mad.

Anbody else have an 06 do this?

Sorry, but I had that code on my 04. 5. Took it to the dealer and they told me there was a loose crimp on a wire. Almost the exact same mileage when it happened to me. They told me the warranty didn't cover "crimping a loose wire" and I said it shouldn't have ever come loose if it was done right at the factory. Long story short, Check the wires for loose crimps on the wire(s) to the grid heater. If you can't find anything, take it in to the dealer.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

P2609 code

I just pick my 04 1/2 from the dealer. My truck had 2 codes 628 [lift pump] and p2509 [computer wiring]. They fixed the p628 under warrentee but they charged me $104 to fix p2509. They told me it was a loose battery cable. I think that they charged me the $104 because the p628 was under warrenty. The p2509 has to due with the computer wiring
