Well, I actually said castor, but I guess camber would be changed too, I just don't think as much.

The reason is, castor and camber are built in, for the most part, when the factory welds the knuckle ends on the tube. If you rotate the tube, you rotate the ends. You might be able to adjust it back with offset bushings, etc. Don't know if they are 'factory' adjusted with bushings or not.

Just pointing out that rotating the front axle will require giving attention to other items.

either u-joints or balance

I had a 1/2 ton lifted 6" and had the vibration problem. Talked to lift kit manufacturer, they said to clearance the u-joints if they're very close at all (mostly the CV at the top). They said even if it appeared to have a bit of clearance, it could still be smacking and causing a vibration, they said if that's not it, it's got to be balance... only two things that could cause it. The greater angles on the u-joints will exagerate an out of balance driveline is what they claimed. Either way, clearing a tiny bit of metal out of the CV joint at the top fixed my problem... . just gave it a bit more room.

Worked for me... and free :)

This same thread came up a while back. Some guys were actually getting vibs off the front airdam, the black thing under the front bumper. Due, apparently to the changed aerodynamics.

I also have the full Skyjacker 2 1/2" Double Flex kit, been on for 10 months and ~20K miles now, done a bit of 4 wheeling with the kit on, no vibrations or other problems. But since I also have fully adjustable control arms with the double flex kit, I was able to make sure the front axle is fairly well centered after the kit was installed.

I know of at least two TDR folks that have 4x4's with the Skyjacker 4 1/2" lifts and do not believe I have ever heard of either of them mentioning any problems - BigBadDodge & Csutton7. Of course Scott has the 5 speed and Chris is the shiftless sort :-laf

I installed the Skyjacker 2. 5" front springs last week, and haven't noticed any vibration in 4wd. Added 35" tyres, still no vibration.

Well I took off the drive shaft last night and now I have no vibration problem. So it is definitely an issue with my drive shaft. It may be the angle of the drive shaft causing the issue.

I painted my drivelines in my 5spd and I can see where it is rubbing them. I need to get out the grinder and see if I can remove just a little to keep it from rubbing. You might be able to see where it is rubbing without paint but it sure is easy with it. :D

By repositioning the cam, your rotating the axle, thus changing the pinion angle. Like I said, I haven't done this, this is speculation at this point. The manual doesn't really go into detail about it.

Rob, I don't think you have anything to worry about here. I would make the adjustments to get rid of the vibration and not think twice about the caster issue. People used to use shims in the spring packs to change the pinion angle (me included) without any issues. Let's hand it to DC for making the provisions necessary to easily change the angle of the dangle.
