No first hand, but I did suggest to a friend who is an overhead door and gate contractor that he take a look at the Sprinter. He replied that he had spoken with a local heating and cooling contractor who liked the vehicle and the mileage of the diesel, but was getting sick of the tow bills during the winter months and from new construction sites.



Seems that with the diesel in the front end, the Sprinter has a propensity to stuck itself unless on solid, dry surface. Probably doesn't matter in Phoenix, but in West Michigan can be a challenge.

Don't own one and don't plan on it, but. . All owner/operators of them I have talked to love them! well except the slight lack of power.

I own one, and love it. It has been trouble free for 3 years now. It has plenty of power for what it is.

what sort of mileage can you

expect from it? Also is it like the old VW vans - I mean very poor on power? My grandfather had a 1960 VW Transporter - It had a 36 hp engine and growing up in central Pa - if that thing smelled a hill - it started to slow down.....
