I am looking at a set of Jammer 3's and wondering if I should attempt the tip swap myself. Has anybody tried this yet, or would I be better off paying to have it done?

Its easy.

You just need a vice and a piece of bar steel to be able to secure the injector in the vice.

A 15mm deep well socket to untorque and torque the tip.

I did a set once and it was fairly easy to do. Just keep everything very clean.

I did have them pop tested before I put them in the truck.

i did mine, easy as can be. . didnt have em pop tested but would feel more comfortable if they were. never had any problems. .

Local diesel shop should be able to do it no problem. There's a place close to me called Truck Pros - I think they may be a chain. Should be fairly easy to find a place though.

I'd have them pop tested. I went and did mine without doing it and didn't like the amount of smoke I produced. Especially at low rpm's.

I went and put some F1 1. 6 injectors in a couple of weeks ago and now there is almost no smoke. Same power or so it seems.

I am going to try and get them pop tested and then sell the 3'sl. (I have 275's hidden somewhere around here too)

BTowler,

How did you like your RV275's? What did they do for your mpg and overall power? Any increase in smoke over stock? I am trying to decide between stage 2 jammers and RV275's for the future.

You'll get more power from the Jammers. Here's a graph that'll show you the comparison to 275's.

They were fun with the 4" exhaust & Afe mega cannon, but not quite enough for what I am looking for now. As far as a smoke, it did increase a little bit, but you couldn't leave a cloud unless you hit it at just right rpm's, temp, load etc. Mileage, I saw about a 1 mpg increase over stock. I would go with the Jammer's since you already have an EZ (which I would ditch for a Juice W/Attitude or a Smarty and Jammer 3's). I would also suggest loosing the K&N, they let way to much dirt through. Go Afe or BHAF over the K&N.

That is the DD Jammer's, I purchased the Edge Jammer's. Is there a difference? Or are they the same injector from two different companies?
