The Shebas are really beautiful dogs. They almost prance like a fox I vote for the Sheba!!. . One word of advice Tim. . don't bring her to a Coffee night if you get a Sheba. My wife is liable to kidnap her!! She has been after me to get a Sheba for years, but We have to wait till the Bulldog is no longer with us

Those are some cool looking dogs, what kind of price tag do they carry? I should have some purebred certified Golden Retrievers in 63 days or so depending on which date of violation took hold. Just incase you decide you still want a bigger dog. :D

Tim There is a local AKC certified sheeba breeder and the dogs have a SERIOUS history behind them (ALL of which are show winners and have been "Defect" or commonplace diseased free for the past 20 years. "Blitz" the sister sheeba which is a VERY rare all white just got her PERFECT certificate and is an absolute dream dog. Obedient in every aspect of life and amazingly intelegent. They carry a 900 - 1100 dollar price tag but I have the golden oppertunity to get one for 500. All shots and worming etc are included for the first 2 years (The breeder is an amazing woman and has held nothing but the highest respect from the sheeba club international). I have been playin' with Blitz and I swear to you the dog looks at you like it knows every word of the english language but is traped in a body that is ill equiped with vocal chords and has acepted that fact.

However the Alaskan Klee Kai is also an amazing dog that is really a husky /malamute that has been bred to a smaller size. The only issue is that they have become very "Needy" shall we say dogs, that can suffer from seperation anxiety being they adore their owners dearly. I worked with an electrician over the month of January doing site lighting on site and he brings his with him EVERY day he goes to work. The dog quite litteraly is just as happy in the van as his very own home. The one issue he has had with "Tex" is he has an amazingly high intelegence. The dog will turn on the truck on occaision and start the heat. I KID YOU NOT!!! The steering column has all the marks to prove it. He has a wadded rope on the key that Tex can bite on. The knob the HVAC fan he modified so Tex can turn on the fan. It truly is amazing. However the issue is that the battery has gone dead several times from Tex not starting it all the way and the fan is whirring away on the ignition on position. He sent in a video to amaricas funniest animals and is awaiting a responce.

Tim not to steer you off the Kai or the Enu (Enu being my favorite) have you looked at American Eskimos? I've had mine for about 9 years now and he is awesome. They come in 3 sizes the largest (standard) get to about 35 pounds. About the only complaint I have is that they are murder on vacuum cleaners in the spring when it's shedding time. They love to be around people. Check out the links Here is a pic

PS Just in kindness there are always plenty of dogs that need to be rescued Enus, Kais and Eskies.

Good luck and send some pics when you make your decision

Shiba Inu

Hey all, I have a young man his name is Maverick... he is awesome with the kids, got him at 7 weeks old from a very reputable breeder in Washington. He is very spunky and outgoing and loves to me new people. He will be 4 in Jul and weights 23lbs. There is alot of thing t know about Shibas. I will recommend a book to get if you are seriously thinking of getting one, its called "The Total Shiba" by Gretchen Haskett and Susan Houser. Also check out these sitesShibas and

Shibarescue

One thing to keep in mind is there are very strong willed and have a very strong hunting instinct, they need to be on a leash at all times, they are free spirited runners and will bolt at the first chance. Shibas are low maintenance, they blow the coat twice a year, need bathing once very few month depending on outdoor conditions, nails clipped monthly, brushed weekly. The groom themselves like a cat, play like a cat, lounge like a cat, thats why I call mine a catdog. they love kids as I said before and will fight to protect them no matter twhat size of dog, they are extremely quick and agile. they have the attitude that whats mine is mine and whats your is mine:D If you have any questions please feel free to email me and email your phone number and I will call you, I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Ya see That is another thing that keyed me into the inu breed is teh shedding 2wice a year. The Alaskan Klee Kai's shed non stop (but are cute as hell eh?). We allready have our share of shedding from the "Trouble Inc" Cats.

Which have turned into Beefy cats. This was taken 9 months after the first pic. They are yet larger than that now  Tyler himself can't really fit in that basket.

The certainly have some of the characteristics of such. They have perfectly symetrical markngs (Except tyler's forhead as you can see. ) But they are even on both sides. Tyler is a true hemmingway cat. He has 6 "Fingers" on each paw and uses them as hands. He can do cool stuff that his sister cannot. He sits like a person at the dinner table in a chair and LITTERALLY pcks food up with his hands like a RACCOON (Hence Coon Cat LOL!) I have video but the tape is broken. (Mini DV) and that also had the NETDP sled pull on it too :( .

HERE IS BLITZ!!!!
