Anybody know how to remove the filter minder?

Do any of you know how to remove the filter minder off the airbox lid? I broke a tab off my old one and had to order a stock replacement lid. The new lid didn't come with a filter minder on it or a new air sensor (For $70 you could imagine it probably would, I didn't think I would be paying so much for a piece of plastic! What a rip-off). Anyway, I'm sure it's simple but I wanted to find out the proper way to remove it so I don't break it trying to get it off. Any help greatly appreciated.

On my 06 there is just a rubber o ring that holds it in place. All you should have to do is slowly and carefully wiggle it loose. They are a little tough to wiggle back in place it is fairly tight fitting.

A little soapy water should help.

All the filterminders I have seen just screw into the airbox. I have a collection from junk tractors and trucks. Just grabbed them with my right hand and turned.

Thanks guys. The filter minder pulled out of the rubber grommet with a little effort & then I was able to remove the rubber grommet after that.
