I own one of these, had it for maybe 2-3 years. Very quiet, huge muffler. Always starts on first pull (with choke), and I always shut it off at the fuel valve to suck the carburetor dry and not gum it up. Had an older Briggs fail from carb clogging, so I've learned my lesson.

There are none of those perticular auto stores by me. I googled it, and it appears Advanced auto parts is also owned by the same people.

The generator is on advanced's site for $299 also, so I dont see why the rebate should be a problem.

I already have a generator(6250 generac) but that's a helluva deal.

I've got a harbor freight generator. It's ok but not my first choice. It was a gift.

It starts good and seems to work, just to heavy to take camping and stuff when it needs to be moved around.

I saw this at BJ's today........

A 3250 peak/2500 watt generator that looks like it's built by the same people (china) at BJ's for $199, no rebate! It has the fuel tank petcock, and a pretty big muffler.

It's not as big as the one in this thread, but it seems like a good deal. Oh, the sale is over on the one in the begining of the thread too.

I did a search on the BJ's site, and it didnt come up... . but a LOT of Cummins generators did. I think theyre all gasoline.

Looked like this one:
