Anybody order a truck recently?

Hey JR who is your sales rep mine is close to useless. I ordered mine back in October and it is now supposed to be sitting in Spokane waiting for a semi-truck to deliver it. Mine is close to your except srw. Did your sales person have any info on how long it takes for shipment from Spokane to Kellog? Heck if mine goes any slower I may see you at the dealership or you will already be home with yours. How much did they quote you on the exhaust brake?

Fireman, my rep. Heather Hart. She said when it arrives in Spokane they need about 5-6 days for delivery and to put my accessories on.

She quoted 1640. 00 for the brake, 425. 00 for step bars, 399. 00 spray-in bedliner and 135. 00 SS wheelwell liners (Installed).

How do you track once you got the train number? This is the train that runs through mexico. Is it a mexican company or a US company?

I ordered my truck back right before Christmas, but they said it would be right after the new year before they get back to work ans start on it after a 2 week vacation down in Venezuala (however you spell it). Got a call today and said it hit the U. S. today on rail and would be in Louisianna tomorrow to a big rail yard. It will be off loaded there to truck and shipped back up here to NE, Texas on about the 5th of Feb. he said.

well believe it or not my truck is in!!! Going through inspection then to accesory shop. I will be flying out Saturday to go get it. Hope the weather holds out.

i ordered my megacab 11-30-05. just recieved a call today from dealer it is sitting in storage. now i just hope to have it for presidents day at GLAMIS. it sure takes a long time.

Dealer called and gave me a train car number. I went to Union Pacific (only site I could find that allowed me to track) and entered the number

I GOT INFO! at 4:50am mex time the train arrived. Tried it again 1/2 hour later, at 8:00am mex time the train Departed! ITS REALLY MOVING! My truck is on its way.

Sure glad, that GMC I was looking at Sunday is real ugly :{

When you guys were tracking your trucks on UPRR website, the 2nd field says L/E, On mine it says "empty". Does that mean the rail car I am tracking is empty? I changed the last couple numbers to see what other cars said, most said "load"

Mine say's load, but it's been in IL. for a couple of day's now. Call UP and ask them on mine it's said destination Idustry, so I call UP and they said it means Spokane.

hey tow pro if the top line second space says empty that means that rail car is empty. It could mean it has emptied it's load or enroute for one but currently nothing on board. You said your train trip was really short. Maybe already on the boat.

Well I went and picked it up this weekend. It was a long trip with snow and airport delays. DSM had van at airport getting to the dealer was not bad. My salesman was less then impressive. Finally saw truck was just like I wanted looked good. Due to weather did not get chance to drive right away. Finished paper work paid my money. Then walked back down the street to get it. Drove off few mins later a knocking type sounds start. I have had a few diesels so I know this sound is not right. Only happens or can only hear when motor under a load. Should have turned back but did not,now have check engine light on and my knocking sound. Gonna try and take it to local dealer probably will be a problem due to not buying from him but we will see. So good luck with yours my thrill is all but gone,hope to get it figured out soon. I will let you all know.

Yesterday the tracking info said Destination Industry in Veracruz VL.

Then last night the train went to Totalco@17:55.

I am hoping its now in a parking lot in Veracruz. (the docks)



After 9:00 I will call the dealer and see if it was on the train. He is watching his orders because he has several other long wheel base trucks on the same train. Seems all the long wheel base trucks got delayed, but the Mega cab is the same wheelbase and they come through in 8 weeks!



Fireman, Good luck with your truck. Hope its something simple. I would think the PDI guy drove it and heard the noise?

Paid my deposit and finalized order on 1-31-06 with DSM. At what point will I receive VON, VIN, tracking numbers so I can obsess over every detail of my trucks progress (or lack thereof)?

I work at a Chrysler auto plant. If you want I can get you a friends discount. You get this discount plus any rebates. If anyone else wants one I can get it for them also. If an admin wants to make a sticky about this go ahead. I pretty much have an unlimited amount of discounts that I can give. The discount is usually 3% below invoice.

you will get a von when the system picks up your order,then first 8 of your vin when it gets a build date. then after it is all built the next number is a rail car number this will allow you to follow your truck all the way to Spokane,WA. A word of advice about DSM they give great deals on the cost of your truck it will be for the most part painless about getting to the dealer. But and this is a big one the accesories like the jake brake and such. They do a *&^%^ poor job. My jake brake looks like it was wired by a crack head I have wires laying all over half covered with loom other not. All they tell you is sorry maybe we can get it back in. You will also have to sign a mud flap waiver in Idaho you have to have them on vehicles over 20 inches of clearence one ton truck is about 23. I was not told i needed them prior to arriving. Just sign here to not hold us responsible for your ticket if you get one. I told them would have been nice to know since i was going to put them on anyway. Sorry about that,but no other action. Then you get a lecture on how to fill out survey. They are hard core about this finance guy says if you fill out anything but outstanding your salesman will get fired. When I told them i would answer it honestly he practically had a cow. Too bad that is why there is a survey. If you have any other questions about DSM I will try and answer them for you based on my recent experiance.
