I just went to the employee web site and built a truck to see how much my discount can save you. I built a Loaded 3500 mega cab 55k sticker. My discount would take a little over 7k off that. You would still get all rebates and financing incentives also. I can get this one any Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. All but the SRTs. Discounts varies on the price and the type of auto.

Yes, it's good at any dealership, no matter what they tell you, and it applies to in stock vehicles as well. My dad works for DC. Don't allow them to BS you out of the discount. I'm almost positive the dealership gets a kick-back from DC to make up for lost revenue, not to mention the hold back. We're getting off topic though.

Cool... . I'd like to get the discount info as I'm negotiating on a an '06 qc.

Please contact me.

Thanks, Frank

Well I went and picked it up this weekend. It was a long trip with snow and airport delays. DSM had van at airport getting to the dealer was not bad. My salesman was less then impressive. Finally saw truck was just like I wanted looked good. Due to weather did not get chance to drive right away. Finished paper work paid my money. Then walked back down the street to get it. Drove off few mins later a knocking type sounds start. I have had a few diesels so I know this sound is not right. Only happens or can only hear when motor under a load. Should have turned back but did not,now have check engine light on and my knocking sound. Gonna try and take it to local dealer probably will be a problem due to not buying from him but we will see. So good luck with yours my thrill is all but gone, hope to get it figured out soon. I will let you all know.

Sorry to hear about your problem. I've got about 150 miles on mine and loving it. Although I do keep hearing the vacuum for the 4x4 electronic shift run a lot. Wouldn't think that is normal so need to post a question on here about it. #ad

the dealer I went to is ssaying it is the vacum pump on my exhaust brake. If that is the case pretty loud very audible in the cab. So I will have to find someone else to look at it or what for something to break.

I will have one to compare it to in about 2 weeks, + 1 weekend to put the brake on. I will let you know

Yeah, I have to agree it is the exhaust brake vacuum and yes it is pretty loud. Took me a while to figure out that was what it was. But at least it can be turned off easily enough.

Ken, are you refering to the sound the brake makes when turned on? I think the other post is about the noise the vacuum pump makes.

No, I am referring to the vacuum sound that I hear when parked and the truck is idling. If I give just a bit of throttle, it kicks off and when I release the throttle it turns on again. It is quite loud and easy to hear over the noise of the motor. It does not always run either. When I pull up to a stop I'll hear and feel the exhaust brake working until I get down to 20 MPH. It then turns off and once I come to a complete stop, I will sometimes hear the loud vacuum turn on and other times it will not. It kind of bugs me that it is intermittent which implies to me that something is not right. But maybe it's normal. Don't know.

just a thought - maybe its your a/c compressor running (do you have defrost turned on?)

No, I'm pretty sure (this time) it is related to the exhaust brake. When it is running, I can turn the exhaust brake off and the vacuum turns off. I then turn the exhaust brake back on and the vacuum will start up again.

kind of strange,I was told the vacum pump for the exhaust brake is always on,the selector on the gear shift just activates the butterfly valve to let the brake close. I too have a sound that should not be there mine becomes more pronounced above 30. With the brake on or off (selector).

Found out that they are painting my truck... so that must mean its built Oo.

Wonder if that means they'll release it for shipping by mid-next week ;)

I think by the time you found out they were painting it, it really was already done. I can't see them taking more then 1/2 day to build the truck from when it starts until it rolls out the other side. Figure that paint hits an oven and is dry in no time at all.

Mine is still do next Friday. Once the salesman gets back later this week I will know more.

Well the truck finally made it to the dealer today, slow trip thru Oregon (it was shipped on rail 01/15/06) because my rep. said they had a few derailments a couple of weeks back.

I fly up this Wednesday to pick it up.
