has anyone put stacks on the 6. 7? i take it you would have to at least remove the muffler or the kitty? i would love to re-use the 6" mitre's off my 04. 5 but dont wanna cut a hole in my bed if it wont work... any opinions please!!

I have everything to do mine but time! I am kinda worried about the heat from the regen and want to check the temp after the muffler before I cut up the bed.

i wouldnt put that ugly thing near my truck, im going to try it, removing what i need to for room i suppose... ill let you know how it turns out.

Somebody one day will figure out how to unlock the hidden power in a 6. 7

I don't see how it is ugly? It's all chrome, and is worked in nicely to the 6" - 7" expansion...

Anyway, the size of this stack, and where the stacks mount when you put them in the pickup bed you wouldn't even be able to see the vents, unless you were laying nearly flat on the floor of the bed. This is a great option for ALL of us considering stacks as the outside of this stack will remain extremely cool. It has a heat shield function, without the look of a heat shield.

It does the same thing as the PowerStroke and Duramax tips do, but I'd say it's the best looking one yet.

If I recall correctly, there is so much "crap" under the new 6. 7 that by the time you get to the muffler, you're near the end of the truck. Getting a stack at the front of the bed will require to do a u-bend and go back up to the front of the bed.

I may be wrong, but this may be something to look at first.

Can we get an underside view of a 6. 7 please? preferable a Mega, standard and quad.

I can get a Quad pretty easy, but it will be a few days. .

I think there will be only a little space available if we remove the muffler. From what I have read, teh muffler makes no discernable difference in sound or performance. I was told it's pretty much a one-chamber flowmaster design...

They will fit but yes it close on a short bed! it will have a 90 to get back to the "T". I still have all the under bed plumbing off my 03 that I am going to use so it will be just the stacks going through the bed in the corners. Need all the room in the bed as possable!

Two things wrong with that pic: The name on the truck and it is a Fruitshaker!!!

I thought that Ford exhaust was ugly till I saw the Chevy!!! Looks like some kinda rice rocket experiment gone wrong!!

What's wrong with Halliburton? The frac crews are light years ahead of schlumberger IMHO. However, the Wireline department from Halliburton SUCKS! I'll take All Day Schlumberger before I see a red crane on the pad for perforating out here... .

I'll take a Halliburton Coil Unit anyday over Schlumberger or BJ, however CUDD has some slick units...

You work for Halliburton? Apparently the Coil department down there has theyre stuff together better than ours up here does... theyve lost most of the contracts theyve had up here... I used to work everyday with coil on the pump side before we had a crew broken off from them; now we just catch acid jobs and DFITs

No, I don't work for them. I work with them I guess.

I'm a pressure tester/pumper/nipple up'er.

Chevron uses us on all there wells whenever a flange has to be broken and re-assembled. Schlumberger Wireline, or Halliburton Frac crews have not had to nipple up a flange in several years. . :-laf talk about spoiled. They even stopped carrying wrenches down here LOL.

It does depend on your area and crew. The Halliburton Frac crew out of Victoria, Tx, Sucks! lol
