Anybody Replace their stock radio with this one Kenwood KDC-BT742U

I was looking at doing this on my 04 as it's RBQ has had the dreaded CD Changer Lock up.



I was looking at buying it from crutchfield's along with their adapter to use the factory amp and adaptor for the factor steering wheel controls.



I am not a huge audiophile so it is hard for me to justify the expense to gut the hole system and start a new.

Not sure which Kenwood I have, but it is the flip out nav one. I installed it myself with the install harness and the amp bypass harness because I installed a new amp too. I also got the steering wheel controls adaptor so they still work too. I have been real happy with the system.

Thought I would give a follow up on the radio. After installing the radio getting it correct was a little trouble but crutch fields product support was great. The sound is as good or a little better than the stock rbq but the options are lots better. The operators manual for the radio lacks a little to be desired but I knew that on the front end. All in all I would do it again.

Thanks for the update. Today on the way back from Moab, my RBQ said error on all 6 cds. I might be in the market for a new unit.
