I'm currently using the Truxxus Radial MT's in 255/85/16 and would like to go with 35/10. 50/16 SSR's on my dually. The truxxus are wearing quite fast and I'm wondering if the SSR's are lasting longer. Quite a price hike from the truxxus, but sure would like the added height. ;)

Dont have them on my CTD but I do have them on my fullsize chevy blazer, I have the 37's on there and they ride great. Thought about taking them off and put them on CTD

Hmmm I dunno but ....

on a '96 those 10. 50's will rub together in the rear. I run 255 / 85 / 16 M/T's which equate to a 34X10X16 and the spacing is comfortable. Now also that's on 2001 rims which run different backspacing and will allow for the plus size without spacers.

I have the 2002 rims now and have some spacers coming. Can't quite get the chains to fit on the rear without spacers. Still looking for someone's experience with mileage and longevity running SSR's.

AHA! '02 rims will do the trick!

Well the SSR's do offer a lil bit better mileage that is for certain. My buds blown and bottle fed 5 litre toyota sr5 runs big ol 44 ground hawgs on his in the summer during show season only and has 38 inch SSr's on it for the rest of the time. To him the SSR's have a harder street savy compound that does last. He beats on them pretty hard as he sure is not shy with the loud pedal. He speaks highly of them and I trus his opinion as he used to be a tire guy and had had Dedman Grouns Hawgs , Mickeys , Cepeks , and other interco tires so he has been thru the rubber mill a few times.
