Anybody running Parnelli Jones 35/12.50R17 load range E tires?

I'm looking at going with either this or the Interco Truxus since the Toyo seems like it will likely be on national backorder for longer than I own the truck.



I've looked around and have not read much about the PJ tires. Does anybody have any info? What I would like to know is how they wear (I don't tow), how good the wet traction is (snow also), and any other feedback that might be important in my making a decision.



I'm just about out of rubber and need to do something in the very near future.

Hi there! I recently searched for some tires that were also in load range E. I thought the parnellis looked great but had heard they wore out quickly from a local 4x shop. I ended up going with the new dick cepeck funcountry 2's in a 20" rim size. the 17" rim size does not have load range E though. So far I like it alot. I have it on a set of weld 20x 9. 50's with 6. 12" of back spacing. beautuiful but expensive!

I have Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips on my truck size 36. 0"x14. 5"x16. 5". Definitely one of the better big off road tires for an everday driver. If you rotate them and keep on top of air pressure you'll get 40000 miles out of them. They ride real well, are not that noisy, and balance real well. This has been my experience. I like them.

I have had three sets of the PJ's and agree with Glen. On avarage I have gotten 26000 miles out of them. When they start to go, they go fast. So keep them rotated. My new Mega Cab will get the Toyo's Can't decide AT or MT.

I just purchased 4 Toyo 35x12. 50x17 open contry MTs from 1010.com.

They are not very noisy. I can hear them with the windows down, but that's it.



abledog -- I was going to get the Toyo MT, but they were on backorder for 10 months. I ran out of tread and went to the PJs. You'll have to let us in on the secret as to how you got the Toyos!

PATRIOT_Ram-it must be dumb luck!!! I ordered a KORE suspension for my truck and wanted the Toyo M/Ts but KORE didn't have any in stock and they didn't know how long before they would be avaible... . Kent suggested the PJ Dirt Grips would be a good substitute.

Started searching internet for Toyo dealers And the first on the list was 1010.com. I called them up and asked if they had any 35x12. 50x17 Open Country M/Ts in stock, they said it would be about a week. I ordered 4 last Tuesday and on Friday I received an e-mail say the tires had been shipped. I just checked UPS tracking and the tires are scheduled for delivery this Friday.

I had the 38 inch Parnelli's on my '98. They rode awesome! Great balancing for a big tire. One tire only took . 75 ounce. Don't waste your time with the Interco brand. They are inexpensive for a reason. I had them on my 04. 5 when I first lifted it, and the truck shook so bad I took them off with only 2,000 miles on them. I am now running the Toyo MT's and am EXTREMELY happy with them. Very high quality tire.

Mine were interesting to balance. One took an ounce, the second 5oz, the next two took 12 and 13. It rides nice -- I hope it does through the life of the tires!

Nice Truck! You look lik you're running the KORE suspension, waht does the red truck have for tires/lift? The SS on it looks to be a KORE product.



-My RA bumper is just like your's except w/o the brushguard/lightbar.

Both trucks have identical suspension -- DRC Race Suspension purchased during the group buy. If I remember right, it uses the Bilstein 9100 on the front and 5100 on the rear, Kore springs on the front, mini-leafs on the rear, and the bilstein stabalizer. The only thing is that I didn't have my stabalizer installed in this pic, everything else was on the truck though.



I LOVE the Kore. OMG I love the Kore!!!! Can I say that again??? I LOVE THE KORE!!



In fact -- last week three of my co-workers (one was actually a consultant), were arguing about my truck. I met them at an intersection where I went through it a bit fast and then over some railroad tracks. They were arguing about whether I had three feet or four feet of air under all four tires at the same time.
