Will the juice with A2 stack with smarty?

I just installed an afe stage 2 and juice w/attitude in my 2006 qc 3500 drw. I'm thinking about having the local exhaust shop replace the muffler & cat with raw pipe. Or maybe put a MBRP muffler in place of the cat & raw pipe to replace the factory muffler. I'm pulling a 3 car trailer (25,950 gross weight) and I'm concerned about egt's. would like to get them down and maybe pick up a little power & mpg and better sound. Whatever I do I need to be able to bolt the factory stuff back in place on the side of the road in case of warranty work. So if I'm 3 states away hauling cars and have a problem I can ditch the trailer, pull off all the perf stuff and pay a visit to the dealer. Sounds like a hassle but I've done it before, just never with the exhaust. So if I can just replace the cat & muffler, I can carry the factory ones with me which would be better than bringing the whole cat back.

Anybody running a straight - thru exhaust on the 04. 5+ ???

I am running a muffler delete pipe that bolts into place where the muffler should be, the only problem that I can see with your idea is that I had to use an air hammer to remove the factory muffler and there is no way that it would ever go back on. About the "cat" I believe that what you are talking about is the resonator that is just forward of the muffler and that is just there to keep the noise down. I tested mine with a breaker bar and it went all the way in with no problem. I don't think you should be worried about warranty with the muffler being gone either, my local dealership didn't say a word about it.

One last thing, those pics of your rig look like they were taken on HWY-287 in between FT. Colins and Laramie, am I right

Shawn, the pics are on S. Valley rd. near the Ken Caryl Reserve just south of C470 & HWY-285 which is on th SW side of the denver area. It's a beautiful place and shares some of the goegraphy with Red rocks park which is a bit north.

Where did you get the delete pipe? How does your truck sound?

Are you happy with the juice?

Thnx, Dan-

truck sound great, I got it from a local shop, I can look for the number if you want it.

I have family out in southern Wyoming and the pic reminded me of being back there and making the drive down to DIA at 90+ MPH.

I am pretty happy with the juice, except for the service from edge themselves. I have had nothing but trouble, I hope that they will make a smarty soon for the 06.

I took my cat and muffler off with the same ideas behind it. I talked to my dealer and he told me the only thing that would be voided is the exhaust system if I did that which I am not worried about. If your careful when taking them off they will go right back on. The cats a little hard to get off without leaving marks but it can be done. Seeing how the whole exhaust is bolt together it easy to put back together!

My 04. 5 had a true cat... you can see the honeycomb inside it...

I'm running an almost straight piped truck... it sounds good, saw a little increase in top end and mpg... nothing major, probably just freed up what it already had.
