Competition Race/Pulling P-Pump

Competition Diesel Video thread.....

I was wondering if someone has tried to run a SP66 and a Big Brother Twin set-up? :D

Could you shed some of the results that you have found? Oo.

Spool should be real wicked with this set-up, I don't think a VP equipped truck could fuel these though? Your opinions?

Concerned about results on #2 fuel only.....

TIA:D

RD:)

I would think a hotrod VP and a set of pulling injectors from Scheid, coupled with a big stack like a TSTPM3/Catcher, PM3/EZ, Redline/Catcher, or Redline/EZ would be able to spool 'em.

Chris

I'm running a Sledpuller 66 and a Big Brother. . It's only been completely together for a few days, though I'll give a complete dyno (and video) of the results within two weeks. . Just want to give it some easy drive time before pounding on it. .

See all you have to do is be out of the loop for a little bit and the questions get answered.

Yes an Industrial Injection 66/14 on top and the Ole' Big brother on bottom... ..... but that might change soon.

Even at say 500 hp it spools just fine, I don't understand why a 24V has such an issue with it but mine does fine, and did so with the 40/BB and a stock cam too.

Jim

Can anybody tell me why the 24V has issues with the Big Brother turbo? I have heard this rumor too but was never given an accurate answer as to why?

Morse please keep us informed to any updates.

Jim any drastic lag issues with your testing? If so what did you do to minimize the lag?

I don't have what I call drastic lag, up 1800 on light shifts it doesn't make more than 15 psi but it really likes about 20 psi to spool to the moon. I don't know if I would try a bigger charger on top for a daily driver, the bottom doesn't seem to matter but If I hybrid it that will show if it matters or not. The bottom turbo has a small enough housing that it spools very well.

Jim

Ted- I've heard- not seen, first hand mind you- heard- that they can be prone to snapping the shaft:{ ... ... and that's what steered me away from the 60... ... :(

And the only thing I hear about the BB is that a 24 V finds it hard to lite off. But no reason as to why? I think if your building the engine up properly and supplying plenty of fuel and have the airflow thru the head and the rest of the system, then why would it be harder to spool. ?
