How good is the BULLYDOG torque dog module?

What About This Gauge?

I says that it doesn't come with the dv holder socket so it is not a complete set. I would buy the tool "group" from snap on or mac you will get the dv socket and gear puller as well all in a nice little box. I am not sure why they show a pic of a drain plug in that add but it maybe a secret I have not heard of... ..... :-laf

That piece would screw in where the delivery valve would be, to hold the dial indicator.

Still need a gear puller, and a DV socket. The socket is $35-60, depending on supplier. Snap-on is one of the cheapest for the socket. An engine turning tool would be VERY helpful as well. Using the alternator nut to turn the engine doesn't work for this job.

Now, if you have most of the other tools, then I'd get that kit.

Even if that "drain plug" did thread in I see no set screw to keep the gauge in place. I wouldn't touch that deal. It was well worth it for me to just paid the money for the snap-on kit as I have timed a lot of trucks with it since. An engine barring tool is a must also in my opinion. I bought my OTC tool through the local Carquest.

I just received mine today, the guy that makes them is local in Western Colorado. I believe it is a drain plug, but it seems to be nicely machined. There is an allen set screw to secure the guage. I'm waiting for my digital metric dial indicator and then try it out.
