Just wanted some opinions(read: Facts) on Superliner spray-on bedliners. I have a "friend" that sprays them part-time(he is a truck accessory dealer who sprays bedliners) at Fantasy Truck in Odessa, MO. I trust the man(Brett Halsey, owner) and his talents as I have used him for some paint work before with excellent results. My question is about the liners. He has been using the Superliner system for about 4 years and has some examples of vehicles at his shop. None of these vehicles have been used very hard(more show'n'go than real-world work). I know several people that have had it done to their vehicles with no complaints but they are in the same category.
I will abuse the bed of my new truck(read: DIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT). I expect it to last with no rust(heard about the paint problems) and few dents(thin metal) so I want to do something.
Hard plastic bedliners are a pain in the a$$ and against my religion. Bed mats are great but don't protect the whole bed(rails). Both of these options are loose fitting; something I don't want. Line-X is tough but too slippery. Rhino isn't slippery but may be too soft. Superliner, as explained to me, is right in the middle. Half sticky, half hard.
I trust Brett and know he will do a good job and stand behind the product. I just want to see if anyone else out there has abused a Superliner and had it survive.
BTW, I haven't heard much about any spray-ons besides Rhino and Line-x. Any others to consider?
