I would like to get my timing bumped up to 15 or 16 degrees on my mostly stock 95 truck. Is there a good place to have it done around Indianapolis? also what would a diesel shop charge to do this, just ballpark guess?

You can't go wrong with TST or Scheid's, based on what I've read here.

Another person to consider, if you don't mind the drive to North Vernon, about 20 miles southeast of Columbus, IN, is Jim Jessup. He's not well known on this site, but he has a reputation around Southeastern Indiana. Good work, according to what I've heard. He works only on 12 valves. Phone: 812-873-7618

Happy hunting.

I would hafta rate Jessup a far last on this list. He is supposed to be one of the designers of the B series. But he is more of an engineere than a mechanic. He knows how everything works, he just hasnt the best reputation on using all of that knowledge. I know of a few trucks that he couldnt fix that went elsewheres for a easy simple fix that he couldnt find.

I would goto the professional mechanics listed above, or here is a few more that can do it. Diesel Injection Service in Louisville, Steve Truax in Shelbyville, KY, or Black mountian Diesel in Nicholisville, KY, Van Haisley in Fairmount, Enterprise Enigne in Columbus, OH, Daves Diesels other shop in Angola, IN, Scheides other shop in Effingham, Ill. Is this enough? Indiana is a real good region for diesel preformance.
