I finally did it parking my 84 Ford Diesel 4x4 as I was able to find a 3500 w/ a NV5600 and all the option I wanted.

I am looking for any tips on what I should do or take once I get to the dealership as I don't want to have to hang around there longer than nessarry hate to get hung up on some minor detail. Appreciate any advice.

They were the only dealership that first had what I wanted or else the other dealerships lied to me na they wouldn't do that

Also I am looking on this site for a buyers checklist anyone know where I can find it

Thanks

The truck I own was a special order through them. At the time the local dealership (Dodge Town in Rapid City, SD) had a 98 model that was ok, but not many options, no leather or compass, things like that. Dad had a 92 dodge with a diesel at the time and they told him they could only give him 12,000 for it and then wanted 35,000 for the new one. Dad did some checking at got told about Dave Smith motors and called them. He was able to order this one that had everything available from the factory except for the infinity system and it was 31,000. He ordered it and it came in about 10 weeks later (September of 98). My dad and uncle were hunting in Wyoming over by Buffalo and drove over and got the new truck and came back in the same day. Said it was the best experience he ever had with a dealership. He towed the fiver to Arizona a few months later and Mom drove the 92 down and they sold the 92 down there, I think for about 18,000 but it did have a brand new engine that had been replaced under warranty because of a cracked block. Dad wound up dying of a heart attack not long after that and I bought the truck from my mom. We still have the window sticker that lists all the options and says "Specially built for James Tish"

Anyway, long story short I think you will be pleasantly surprised how well they treat you and how quickly they get you on the road.

i live about an hour away from them, and its where i bought my truck. I was very impressed at how they handled everything, very professional! I would buy again

Bought my '02 from them. Everything was ready to go when I got there, drove up from So. Cal. , but you can fly in and they pick you up at the airport. I'd do it again, nice breakin on the drive home. No problems with paper work, picked mine up in April, snow everywhere.

Don't think you will be disappointed.

Other than the 70 MPH vibration I can't think of many 05 complaints. Do the test drive on an open, smooth, road. Congratulations on the new ride. Mike

I have worked Dave Smiths, Lithia Dodge in Billings, Mt, and Yellowstone Country Motors in Livingston, MT when I bought my last two trucks (the first came from Lithia in Billings).

I had Dave Smith reneg on a price quote and sell a truck out from under me. When it was finally done I went with Yellowstone Country Motors in Livingston, MT for my last two trucks. They were great folks to work with and were less than a $100 over Dave Smith, and that is assuming Dave Smith would have matched Yellowstone on my trade in, which was doubtful. Plus, that was on two trucks that I ordered the way I wanted it, and not some pre-configured rig that was built months ago and sitting on the lot.

I might buy new from them but never used again. I didn't know jack about CTD's when I went there. The 100pt used vehicle inspection is worthless. My CTD needed lots of maintnance. New would be a different issue.

New to the CTD but loving it.

I bought mine from Dave Smith's and had a great experience in May 05. Custom Order SLT Laramie 4X4, CC, LWB, DRW. All the Bell&Whisltes except GPS and SAT Radio. Also put Ride Rite Air Bags with internal control on it.

I live in Alaska and they bought my plane ticket, picked me up from the airport, honored their price quote, and had the vehicle in top shape when arrived. Other than a few minor items on the truck itself (air hose and control placement for the Rite Rite airbags) I spent less than 2 hours at the dealership.

I spent more than three months shopping for this truck and they were the best on price I could find. They saved me between $5-$7K alone over what it would have cost me in Alaska.

James Moore was my rep and he was awesome. Will definitely buy from them again.

My wife and I just returned to Las Vegas from Dave Smith motors. We got a great price. Flew up on Sunday, picked up truck Monday . Every thing went smooth ,no suprises. 05 3500 slt 4x6 auto. Big Horn edition. I would recomend Dave Smith. Charles Rosenthal was our salesman, give him a call.

Bought mine in April. No hassles. Very friendly and helpful staff. Couple of minor issues after the sell. They cleared them up very quickly. I would recommend them to anyone.

We know of dozens of neighbors and friends in Montana who stand behind Dave Smith 100%. Alot of this is due to the slimy bottom feeder dealership in Great Falls that has finally given up its dodge product to Lithia this past year. Some of our friends would drive to Helena to even buy parts, (its 100 miles away!!!). About the only people you'll hear talk bad about Dave Smith is the Dealerships in Montana.

As for Dave Smith, If you're buying new with no trade in to worry about, it is easy in and easy out. They would rather sell units online and outright. We have been through their dealership just about every time we drive out to Spokane and Portland. The dealership has just about taken over the town, its kind of funny. They have inventory stuck in just about every parking lot you'll find when you exit the interstate.

We will never buy anything but used again if given a choice, but that's nothing to do with Dave Smith, we just can't justify the depreciation a vehicle takes driving out over the magical dealership curb opening. We have tried to view used dodge diesels at Dave Smith, but they turn over inventory so quickly, its nothing you can take the time to feel comfortable. We test drove a truck a few months back only to see it go on another test drive with a different customer before we were even back in our own truck. They are all about volume sales, which if you want to get in and get out, is perfectly fine.

When you arrive in Kellogg, don't plan on doing much else but grabbing a quick bite to eat and dealing with your purchase issues. Post Falls, Couer D'lene is just down the road, and Spokane and is just about an hour from the dealership exit.

If you like that small town feeling, you'll be right at home. The main dealership building is very, very small.

I guess it must have been a blessing that I found Dave Smith. I had never heard of them but found the truck I was looking for there and living in Spokane was only an hour away. I bought the 2500 HD 3 days ago for $1000 below invoice. I left there that day feeling like something went wrong. Why? Because I never had that back and forth bargaining with the salesman/manager. It was only afterwards that I found out about their reputation for a no haggle price. It was just incredible.

I was initially very skeptical since they are a couple of thousand miles away but the salesman (KP) was very helpfull and went out of his way to alleviate my concerns. And I loved the "No Hassle" pricing. They didn't offer to pay for my ticket as one of the dreamer37 but they did pick me up at the Spokane airport and had me on my way in under an hour.

I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. Plus I picked up a ton (literally) of stuff in Seattle before heading back up to AK.

Dave Smith Sr. built the reputation. Dave Smith Jr. is breaking it down.

Went there, the salesman never "listened" to what I wanted, but tried to sell what he needed to get rid of. Ended up in Juniors office and he's thinks he something  . Ended up getting an 05 2500 SLT Big Horn CTD, HD 6 speed for $2000 less at DODGE OF BELLEVUE. Michael Daniels at Dodge of Bellevue "listened" to what I wanted, searched the PacNorWest region and we never dickered on price. Would do it again but this truck is built to last so I won't have to for quite some time.

My red 98 Q-Cab came from them. Great deals but a Loooooong drive home. My last 2 trucks were from Lithia. they met the DS price and was only 3 miles home.

They have some good deals there right at Dave Smith now if anyone is looking for a qc ctd 4x4 nv5600. 2500 or 3500... i ended up buying in New Mexico where i found the exact truck i wanted. Pretty good deal also...
