i am between chicago and kankakee and need help or the tool to set my timing or someone to tell m e how to do it without the dial indicator.

i rebuilt my ve and turned it up and want to time it so i dont blow my truck up. i put it back to the same place i removed it from but the ksb cylinder was frozen and since i fixed it i want to make sure the timing hasnt been changed now that it works.

also can i remove the ksb solenoid housing and replace it with a block off plate?

AS long as you put the same pump back in the same spot, your timing shouldnt change. But, since you got your KSB back to proper function, it may have changed some of your dynamic timing. Keep an eye on your EGT, boost, and MPG, and you should be fine.
