He thinks it's a MBRP tailpipe. It starts at 4" and before the axle it expands to 5" up n over the axle and out to the side. He took heat shield from old pile and added to 5" and added more heat shield to the factory rear air bag air line. It really does sound good!
The factory pipe shrinks to 3.5" over the axle so the new pipe opens it up.
He thinks it was around $150.
Isn't that "FULL IMAGE" beautiful???

So it attaches to the DPF and runs a 5" pipe practically to the tip?
DPF 4” short distance then 5” up and over axle all the way to tip.
Because it's the factory tailpipe?I wonder why mine is different

OEM 3rd and 4th gen trucks use 4" exhausts.
Like others have said, the proper tips are 4" right at the base of the tip where the clamp is and then the are flared to 5" from there.
The OEM doesn't really have a "tip"... it's just tailpipe to the end. This is what I interpreted as you saying a 5" opening/tip on the OEM tip

Well sorry if that confused you, but to me it means that the proper tips (i.e. the one you want to buy that fits) fit the oem 4" tailpipe at their base and expand to 5" from there.

Adding a 4" or 5" exhaust tip is simply a waste of money. If you want to add horsepower, along with respectable gains in fuel mileage, your money is better spent on nothing smaller than a 10-12" tip. It is also a chick magnet. View attachment 110211
