I test drove a GMC Duramax today (just for fun :D ) and the salesman told me that "GM used to own Cummins but sold them and that how Dodge gets to use them in their trucks" I didn't even say anything, I just couldn't believe it. I had heard the Ford owns Cummins stuff, but I have never heard anyone say GM owned Cummins. Where do they come up with this stuff?

Well, of course, GM sold Cummins to Ford - I thought everyone knew that... :D :D

(These dealers just GOTTA stop hiring illiterate illegal aliens to do their sales... ) ;)

Great... just when you make some headways on the Ford owns Cummins rumor. Now you get a whole new batch of whacko's professing that GM owns them.

Who's next?? I own Cummins... that's why I have it in my truck. :D :D :D

All you guys are missing the real big secret ... Haliberton owns all the big 3 ... and Dick Chaney determines which truck get which diesel engines.

Have not heard of that one!

Something I thought was kinda funny though, last time I went to Rocky Mountain Cummins to get a fuel filter the service/delivery truck, all decked out in "Cummins" and "Rocky Mountain Cummins" and big "C" emblems, was an F-450 PSD (7. 3). Of course, besides the Dodge pickups, the Cummins is in medium-duty trucks and bigger. Sure won't ever see a 3500 CTD parts truck running around for Navistar, hehe.

Just goes to show ya. You cant belive anything a sales man tells ya. The way to tell if a salesman is lying to you is to watch his lips. If they are moving he is lying.
