Its a Push Lawn Mower with no Wheels, It use Hovers on a Cushon of Air. I used to have one a Long time Ago, And Am Looking for one at Local Garage sales, But have not found any yet.

The Fly-Mow Had a Poly-Ethelene (I think) Deck and a Real Light weight 2 stroke engine, With Aluminum Blades.

Doug.

I remember seeing them advertised but have never seen one. They looked neat. Now is they could get one that is withing reach of the average joe that you could program to do the lawn for you!!!

Doug, I saw a fellow using a wheel-less one recently on a local golf course green. Looked really cool, said Toro on it.

flymo is a manf trade name. their really known as hover mowers. theres an outfit in england called allen manf that makes them, along with other companies in the us. their used alot on golf courses. the original hover mowers came with blades and short handles and notorious for chopping off the toes of the careless user. the newer units have longer handles and trimmer line instead of blades. a hover mower and a long piece of rope can work wonders on a steep bank. they are expensive and dont last long in heavy use, but they do a great job for waterside and steep properties that require alot of trimming. :)

My neighbor used to have one and he let my Dad use it. You could swing it from side to side and have about a 10ft. path mowed. As I recall you had to mow the lawn twice a week. If you waited any longer it would bog the engine down. It seems like he only had it about 2years before it finally croaked.
