Anyone ever herd of Bell Turbos Hybrid turbo?

Just thought I would chime in with some results on the B1 vs. the Pias Hybrid H2. I ran the H2 with a 12 housing on it. Well both turbo's work pretty darn well the differences I can see are, The H2 costs less and works very good for hot rodding but is a little weak on boost for towing, down about 3 lbs of boost from a Piersified HX 35 with a 16 housing on it. The B1 seems to spool up very nice and runs about the same towing as the before mentioned Piers turbo. Both the H2 and the B1 have been shown to be realiable so far. I think both turbo's are really good-I've seen the H2 in action and have the B1--if the info is correct the B1 may be a little stouter and have a little less lag--but the H2 price is nothing to overlook if it comes down to money..... chris

Well thanks for the input. Adam I never did get your email? However you did answer my questions here though. I think I have to "give my head a shake" here. With my Mods 275's and PE comp and hy35 turbo right now. I am going to spend another 2k to upgrade the turbo and to DD2's for just an extra what, 50 hp?. 275's to DD2's? Is it really worth it? I am told If i dont upgrade the turbo my EGTS will run to high. Hmmmmmmm

While it may only work out to be 50hp "on paper" when you goto a better turbo. . (regardless of which one) Its a whole new ballgame! When I went from my PDR HX35 to a KwikSpool HX40... I was seriously overwhelmed at how much more fun the truck was, not to mention I went from 13. 9x E/T to 13. 4x! And 94 to 95mph to 98 to 99mph. And seat of the pants meter was off the charts... ... . (honestly) you can ask Floor It how much I rant and raved about that turbo swap.



A bigger turbo just makes it more fun is all. And of course it generally helps with EGT's.

Joe you might be right on the spelling (Pius) but you are wrong on the towing with the HX-55 I am sure. If you don't believe me I will loan you a real trailer for testing. LOL

could i send my hx-35 to piers and have him modify it? and if i did any idea on what it would cost me. has anyone done this or would i be better off just buying a different turbo. i hot-rod more than anything. but am looking for lower EGT's/quicker spool-up and a cheap route to get there for now. thanks in advance,

dcash, Yes you can but actually he sends you a rebuilt modified unit and you send yours back as a core.
