Anyone ever recover your stock seats??

I have the stock split seats. No electric. I want the harder foam that sits you higher in the cab and could use the fresh look to boot.

Have any of you ever had the padding stiffened up a bit or had the re-upholstering experience?

Was it a pain... was it... IS IT worth it. Any photos of new or re-upholstered seats out there to post ????

One of the TDR issues had something in it about replacing the bottom seat cushion, don't recall which issue.

My input here is that a friend had ratty leather seats recovered by a local upholstry shop. They look/smell/match FABULOUS. And was only $280 for the two bottoms. Heck, I may do mine in leather --one at a time as I can afford it, after the speed BOMBS--.

I asked a friend of mine that does interiors about Katzskin leather seat covers. Turns out he is a dealer and says he sells a couple of sets a month. I decided to order cloth seats in mine and have him recover them. Costs less that factory leather and I can have him do some other things too.
